Saint Petersburg 2019 World Para Dance Sport World Cup – Continents Cup will be held on 6-8 September, 2019 in St. Petersburg. We invite athletes to take part in one of the largest international tournaments in Para Dance Sport!
Organizers: Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation, Paralympic Committee of Russia, Russian Government of Saint-Petersburg, Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairment, Wheelchair Dance Sport Federation in Russia
Venue: Convention and Exhibition Centre EXPOFORUM.
Saint Petersburg 2019 World Para Dance Sport World Cup – Continents Cup competition will be conducted under the World Para Dance Sport Rules and Regulations and World Para Dance Sport Classification Rules and Regulations and all events of the WPDS program are announced to be held.
It is already quite usual that we are preparing an interesting program for all the participants and the guests of the Saint Petersburg 2019 World Para Dance Sport World Cup – Continents Cup competition. Every year we are trying to announce something new as a test event. Single and Junior Single events, Freestyle events were tested at the Continents Cup competitions first. Now all those events are included to the official Sports program of the World Para Dance Sport.
Saint Petersburg 2019 World Para Dance Sport World Cup, program
Only athletes who have a license of "World Para Dance Sport" are allowed to compete, they compete in the following official disciplines:
Conventional events:
1. Combi Standard Class 1 and Class 2
2. Combi Latin Class 1 and Class 2
3. Duo Standard Class 1 and Class 2
4. Duo Latin Class 1 and Class 2
5. Men's Single Class 1 and Class 2
6. Women's Single Class 1 and Class 2
7. Junior Men's Single Class 1 and Class 2
8. Junior Women's Single Class 1 and Class 2
Freestyle events:
1. Combi Freestyle Class 1 and Class 2
2. Duo Freestyle Class 1 and Class 2
3. Men's Single Freestyle Class 1 and Class 2
4. Women's Single Freestyle Class 1 and Class 2
2019 Continents Cup section
All test events will be held under umbrella of the Continents Cup section only.
This section is non-official, yet, but very important for the further development of the WPDS.
Athletes who do not have a license of "World Para Dance Sport" can be admitted to the competition.
For the programme of the 2019 Continents Cup section we announce:
1. Traditional Continents Cup Group Freestyle event
Groups of 4 – 8 athletes are allowed to participate in the Continents Cup Group Freestyle event with at least 50% wheelchair athletes.
Time duration of the Group performance: up to 3:00 min.
And very NEW Events:
2. Kids Single Conventional events
We invite participants at the age of 7-12 years (2007 - 2012 year of birth) to take part in that event.
The dance program of this group will be the same as the official Junior Single Conventional with 3 dances to compete: Waltz, Samba and Jive.
3. New events in Freestyle section!
- Juniors / Kids Single Freestyle
- Juniors / Kids Combi Freestyle
- "Kid and Parent" Combi Freestyle
Time duration of Junior / Kids Single Freestyle performance: up to 2:00 min (it can be any time, but not more than 2 minutes).

As we have no idea of the number of Combi couples willing to take part in Junior / Kids Combi Freestyle event we decided to hold this event without age division. For example, there can happen that one athlete in Combi couple is of Junior age already and the other one – of Kids age.
Time duration of "Kid and Parent" Combi Freestyle performance: up to 2:00 min
This is a very new event we are going to try. Kid is a wheelchair user and Parent is able-bodied dancer. Let's see what happens!
It is already very good and exciting tradition that as the final point of the Saint Petersburg 2019 World Para Dance Sport World Cup – Continents Cup the unique show of the best wheelchair dancers of the World will take place. The "Show of Champions" to your attention!

Please note that on the website www.ccup.ru there will be Online registration of application forms for participation in competitions.
You can find the form for filling in the Online entry form section.
The deadline for online registration is August 2, 2019.
In addition it is important to download, fill in and send to the Organizing Committee scanned copies of the documents that you will find in the Documents section:
Entry form – entry form, which is mandatory for athletes taking part in the official World Para Dance Sport World Cup events.
Please, note that only athletes who are licensed by the International Paralympic Committee for the World Para Dance Sport are allowed to compete in official events. This Entry Form must be signed and stamped by the National Paralympic Committee or relevant organization, endorsed by NPC.
For non-official events, such as Group Freestyle, Kids Single Conventional, Kids / Juniors Single Freestyle and Kids / Juniors Combi Freestyle online registration will be sufficient
Visas form –information required for obtaining visa support. The filling is required for all participants who need a visa.
Accommodation - information required for booking a hotel. The filling is required for all participants.
Additional form - full information about the delegation, including the names of the whole group, dates of arrival and departure. The filling is required for all participants.

The deadline for the adoption of all documents and applications is - August 2, 2019.
The Organizing Committee of the competition asks the Heads of teams and athletes to take into account the following information: participants of the Saint Petersburg 2019 World Para Dance Sport WORLD CUP – Continents Cup", which has not yet passed the international classification according to the new Rules of the classification World Para Dance Sport, adopted from 2018, must plan their arrival time taking into account the time for the classification, which will be held on September 5, 2019.
